Job Overview
Hiring a highly skilled and experienced Professional to join our Research and Evaluation team within the Social Sector. The role may involve managing international assignments as well. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing a variety of research projects, both qualitative and quantitative in nature. This role demands a professional with a deep understanding of the social sector, excellent writing and presentation skills, and a proven track record of managing and delivering impactful research studies, impact assessments, and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement research methodologies for qualitative and quantitative studies, ensuring they meet the objectives.
- Lead the development of research instruments, including surveys, interview guides, and focus group discussion protocols.
- Conduct rigorous data analysis and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
- Prepare high-quality research reports, policy briefs, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into broader project objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers and consultants, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, literature, and best practices in the social sector to inform research and thought leadership.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in social sciences, public policy, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in conducting and leading research projects in the social sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio of published research reports or articles.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and team coordination.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R) and qualitative data analysis tools (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti).
- Knowledge of program evaluation techniques and impact assessment frameworks.
- Commitment to social impact and a passion for using research to drive positive change.
