About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Manager - Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation (LME) to enhance our programmatic and organizational M&E functions. This role involves managing data and knowledge systems, generating insights, and communicating learnings to support strategic decision-making and improve program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Design and manage programmatic evaluations, applying relevant methods.
- Conduct process and performance evaluations, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Stay updated with the latest evaluation methods and apply them effectively.
- Perform meta-evaluations to assess the effectiveness of internal LME systems.
Knowledge Management and Learning:
- Foster a learning culture within Shakti, facilitating cross-programmatic interactions.
- Develop and manage a knowledge management system for programmatic outputs.
- Create and maintain up-to-date repositories of M&E data and outputs.
- Design and develop knowledge products and contribute to data visualization efforts.
- Coordinate training and capacity-building initiatives.
Communication and Engagement:
- Disseminate evaluation learnings to highlight Shakti’s contributions to climate action.
- Prepare communication materials, including donor reports and thematic papers.
- Host and represent Shakti at forums, workshops, and online events.
- Contribute to journal articles, blogs, and white papers.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field with exposure to Development Studies, Climate Mitigation, Adaptation, and Clean Energy.
- 4-5 years of experience in M&E systems, causal research, and Knowledge Management.
- Experience in policy research and/or climate action evaluations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of evaluation methods and mixed-methods approaches.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., R Studio, NVivo, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with external stakeholders.
