Overview & Key Responsibilities:
At nasscom Foundation, Diversity & Inclusion team, we help organizations and the tech industry to build a work environment that embraces diversity and where employees, customers and other stakeholders thrive and succeed.
As key member of the team, He/She/They/Them will play a pivotal role in supporting the Deputy Director & Head of Diversity & Inclusion in executing large-scale initiatives aimed at enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the industry. This position requires a strong background in D&I, with the ability to manage programs, engage with stakeholders, and drive impactful outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a deep understanding of marginalized groups in India, especially in the context of the technology sector, and an immense passion for inclusion.
Responsibilities:
(a) Program Management & Execution:
- Assist in managing industry-level upskilling programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent individuals, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of D&I initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering meaningful impact.
- Design and execute concept notes for various D&I engagement activities, including workshops, seminars, and industry events.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of driving large-scale initiatives with measurable impact.
(b) Thought Leadership:
- Contribute to the development and execution of large-scale D&I initiatives and events, establishing Nasscom Foundation as a thought leader in the space.
- Provide insights and thought leadership on emerging trends in D&I, advising on best practices and innovative approaches.
- Understand and apply policies for underrepresented groups, ensuring that D&I programs align with legal and ethical standards.
- Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues related to diversity and inclusion. Synthesize findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
(c) Stakeholder Collaboration & Management:
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to drive critical D&I priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including corporate partners, donors, and community organizations.
- Manage partnerships and generate revenue to support D&I initiatives.
- Cross-collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to create synergies in D&I and CSR programs.
(d) Data-Driven Approach:
- Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of D&I programs and initiatives.
- Identify key metrics for success and provide regular reports to senior leadership on program impact and areas for improvement.
(e) Creative Engagement & Communication:
- Develop and implement creative strategies to engage large audiences virtually and in-person, ensuring broad participation in D&I programs.
- Market and promote D&I programs and initiatives effectively, increasing visibility and impact.
- Prepare and present review decks for leadership reviews, ensuring clear and compelling communication of program progress and outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
(f) Operational Excellence:
- Ensure efficient program operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Provide operational support to the Deputy Director & Head of Diversity & Inclusion, ensuring smooth execution of all D&I initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Passionate and committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and social impact, with preferred total of 5+ years of work experience in Diversity & Inclusion.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Business Administration, Communications) required.
- Must possess strong program and project management skills, including planning, implementation, and execution of initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas effectively and engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in hosting webinars and facilitating virtual and discussions using online platforms.
- Experience in event management, including logistics coordination, vendor management, and participant engagement.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and impactful reports and create presentations.
- Familiarity with diversity and inclusion issues in the country & tech industry with a passion for driving positive change.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
