About Azim Premji University

Azim Premji University, Bhopal started operations in August 2023, offering postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The first phase of campus construction is complete and the overall 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities will be ready over the next few years. We expect to grow to about 4000 students and 500 members over the next few years.

We are expanding our team and are inviting applications for various operational roles at the University. We will offer members an enriching and fulfilling institution building experience with opportunities for setting up and implementation of key institutional processes, culture building and participation in various institutional bodies.

The role of a Resident Executive is to manage daily operations and management of student residences to ensure smooth functioning and create a safe and supportive living environment for the students.

Responsibilities:

Being a resident on campus: Resident executives are required to stay at the student residences (hostels). Accommodation will be provided at the residences.

Operations: Maintain decorum in the residences by ensuring adherence to university policies. As the first point of contact for students, listen to student concerns/queries and liaison with other functions as may be needed to provide meaningful solutions. Also, collaborate with campus security to ensure the safety and security of students and respond to any safety concerns in a prompt manner.

Conflict Resolution: Develop conflict resolution strategies and resources to address conflicts/interpersonal issues within the residential community.

Emergency response: Help with emergency response and coordinate with other functions.

Communication: Effective communication skills are essential in this role. Establish a schedule of regular check-in meetings and feedback channels for student residents to express concerns, provide suggestions, and voice their opinions about the residential community. Maintain record of resident interactions, incidents, and concerns, ensuring accountability and transparency.
