Established in 2012, Central Square Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the learning outcomes of all schoolgoing children across India through system-led reforms. Our initiatives span innovation and policy to practice and focus on learning impact at scale. At the heart of CSF's mission is our strategic focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), which drives our collaborative efforts with 11 state governments to design and execute statewide FLN Missions. Additionally, we prioritise EdTech integration, aiming to deploy digital solutions for in-class and at-home learning and establish evidence-based practices while harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to augment learning outcomes. About the Human Resources team
The Human Resources (HR) function plays a pivotal role within CSF, serving as a strategic partner to drive the success of our employees and the overall organization. As the backbone of our talent management efforts, HR focuses on cultivating a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, fostering employee engagement, implementing effective training and development programs, and overseeing performance management. A key part of our job is dedicated to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while promoting a culture of excellence, diversity, and continuous improvement.
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Human Resource professional with understanding of Talent Acquisition and HR Operations. You will be entrusted with leading key hiring mandates and an opportunity to sharpen HR processes CSF. Your key focus will be on talent acquisition that is aligned with organizational culture and enabling HR processes, including onboarding, payroll, HRIS, policy compliance, and employee relations, to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Key responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Drive the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies in the social impact sector (specifically education), aimed at attracting and retaining exceptional professionals to drive forth CSF’s vision
- Forge collaborative partnerships with hiring managers and key stakeholders to gain deep insights into recruitment needs, skill requirements, and organizational values.
- Take the lead in the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying the right candidate pools to sourcing to organizational mapping to conducting rigorous candidate assessments and managing offer negotiations.
- Harness diverse recruitment channels and proactively build and nurture a robust talent pipeline, fostering strong relationships with potential candidates and establishing a wide network of social impact professionals in education.
- Implement best practices in candidate assessment, ensuring a meticulous evaluation process that identifies individuals who align with our organization's mission and possess the necessary skills.
- Establish and meticulously track key recruitment metrics to gauge the efficacy of talent acquisition efforts, identify areas for enhancement, and furnish regular, insightful reports to stakeholders.
HR Process Excellence
- Strategic Onboarding and Offboarding Management: Develop and execute comprehensive onboarding strategies to ensure seamless integration of new hires into the organization. Lead the offboarding process with a focus on gathering valuable insights through exit interviews and ensuring smooth transitions for departing employees.
- Payroll and Benefits Oversight: Spearhead payroll operations and collaborate closely with finance to guarantee seamless execution of payroll processes, emphasizing timeliness and precision.
- HRIS Management and Data Analytics: Maintain and optimize HR information systems and databases to uphold the integrity and currency of employee records. Harness data analytics capabilities to generate actionable insights, facilitate strategic HR decisions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Performance Management Facilitation: Drive performance appraisal processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through goal setting, constructive feedback sessions, and developing performance improvement plans where necessary.
What would make you a good fit for the role
- You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- You have at least 6 years of experience in human resources and a significant understanding of talent acquisition and HR processes. Having done this in the social impact sector will help you navigate the space better.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You thrive in collaborative environments, actively engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and foster a culture of teamwork and synergy.
