About The Role
The CSR Head will lead and coordinate the development and implementation of the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy. This role involves working closely with senior management of JSW Foundation and JSW Energy to ensure that CSR initiatives align with the company’s business objectives and values. The CSR Head will also engage with stakeholders, including employees, customers, communities, and regulatory bodies, to promote and enhance the company’s social and environmental impact.
Key Result Areas
PROJECT DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT COORDINATION
- Identify, structure and finalize program interventions in alignment with the JSW Group CSR philosophy, vision and community needs at the locations
- Develop and design unique projects / programs that are scalable, replicable, sustainable, and have measurable impact
PROJECT COORDINATION
- Responsible for coordination, execution, supervision, monitoring, reporting of all project activities for identified thematic areas
- Collaborate and coordinate with other Sectoral Heads, M&E Head etc., of JSW Foundation to explore areas of convergence, sharing of partners’ information & other areas of operations for better effectiveness
- Oversee quality control throughout the project life-cycle and drive execution of activities through coordination with local CSR teams across locations
BUDGET MANAGEMENT: PROJECT DOCUMENTATION
- Assist in managing the CSR budget, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively and reports are maintained.
- Ensure regular monitoring and tracking of project financials and Budget Utilization in consultation with CFO, JSW Foundation
PROJECT DOCUMENTATION
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Maintain accurate records of CSR activities and related data points
- Manage CSR dashboard, including establishment of benchmarks/ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the programs including ongoing tracking, auditing, reporting, and supporting compliance
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration
Educational Background and Work Experience
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree in the relevant field is preferred.
Work Experience
- Experience: Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in CSR, sustainability, or related roles, preferably within the energy sector
- Strong understanding of CSR principles, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful CSR strategies and programs
- Passion for social and environmental issues and a commitment to making a positive impact
