Location:
Gurugram, Haryana
Experience: 7-10 Years
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in environmental science, climate studies, sustainability, public policy, or a related field. A PhD degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in climate change mitigation, adaptation, or related areas, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of climate science, policy frameworks, and international agreements such as the Paris Agreement.
- A comprehensive knowledge on Climate Policies, National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC), State Action Plans on Climate Change (SAPCCs) and other relevant policies related to climate change.
- Proven track record in leading climate change projects and initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with high-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Knowledge of GIS or statistical analysis tools is desirable.
- A deep commitment to CEED’s mission and values, including environmental sustainability and social justice.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of CEED’s climate change strategy, aligning it with organizational goals and global climate commitments.
- Engage with government agencies, international bodies, and other stakeholders to advocate for robust climate policies and regulations, contributing to the formulation of climate action plans.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of climate change projects, ensuring they meet objectives, deadlines, and budgetary requirements.
- Direct research on climate change trends, policies, and innovations. Provide thought leadership by producing high-quality reports, policy briefs, and recommendations.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, businesses, and academic institutions, to promote climate action and sustainable practices.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to internal teams and external partners, enhancing their ability to address climate challenges.
- Represent CEED in national and international forums, conferences, and meetings, effectively communicating CEED’s mission and building the organization’s profile in the climate change arena.
- Lead and mentor a team of climate action professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Salary:
- Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
