About You
We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the competencies below:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance, or a related field, good bookkeeping, and accounting skills.
- At least 7 years of work experience in accounting and Finance system admin.
- Good communication skills and team-player attitude with a proactive, responsive, and collaborative work style.
- Strong knowledge of one or more complex global ERP systems such as Maconomy, NetSuite etc.
- Strong analytical & Excel skills, and experience using MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Technical systems aptitude – rapid on-the-job learning ability to work with various financial systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines, with time management and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work product.
- Cross cultural competence to work in a global firm. Work experience in an international professional services firm preferred.
What You Will Do and How You Will Grow
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Senior Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our organization's Finance System and support with the overall finance function and processes. The Finance Senior Associate will play a crucial role in implementing, managing, and maintaining our systems to meet the needs of our business operations.
Key responsibilities:
➢ Finance System Administration
- Maconomy ERP Support:
- Provide global-level support for the administration of Maconomy ERP.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for any system-related queries, both for internal and external communication.
- Ticket Management, Upgrades and Bug Resolution:
- Work on open tickets related to system bugs and updates in collaboration with the System Team.
- Conduct testing on system modules during upgrades to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Lead and contribute to the Phase II Rollout of the ERP system
- User Management:
- Handle onboarding, transfers, and offboarding processes for staff on Maconomy.
- Maintain user access and manage employee vendors within the system.
- Create and manage Companies, Tasks, Account ledgers, Tax codes, etc., as required
- Financial Administration:
- Open and close financial periods within Maconomy.
- Create and update week calendars and vacation calendars.
- Update standard billing rates and cost rates as necessary.
- Experiment with different reports and assist in making updates to address daily requirements.
- Training and Support: Provide training to staff on the usage of Maconomy ERP.
- Resolve queries and requests from global staff related to the ERP system.
- Support the Finance Manager as needed in various tasks and projects.
➢ Reporting
- Assist in creating and sharing a comprehensive report on Excel, Power BI, AI and other tools.
- Assist with automating processes by designing more structured templates
➢ Others
- Maintain books of accounts for Global Reserve Fund.
- Assist with project accounting, IO invoicing, reconciliations and payment calculations as needed.
- Assist with reconciliation of Global Shared Service expenses and maintaining the book of accounts.
- Support a range of administrative tasks and ad-hoc activities across finance functions working closely with fellow GSS and regional finance team members.

Examples of recent projects that Dalberg consultants have worked on include creating a macro-economic plan for the Government of Ethiopia to accelerate industrial growth, designing a major foundation’s strategy to control sleeping sickness in Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring countries, and launching a new impact investment fund for agriculture in Nigeria. In addition, Dalberg Consultants worked on creating the world’s largest public, freely available dataset on national digital ID in India and have previously traveled for work to a mine in a jungle in Indonesia, to refugee camps in remote parts of Kenya, and to the border of Nepal looking at trafficking transport chains.
