About Us

The Northeast Centre for Equity Action on Integrated Development (NEAID) is a grassroots, not-for-profit, and apolitical organization led by individuals from the region. NEAID promotes sustainable development initiatives in the tribal and rural areas of Northeastern India, with a focus on quality education, health, and its determinants. NEAID’s interventions are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are designed to complement the existing public systems. NEAID envisions creating and living in an equitable and prosperous society through integrated development. This vision will become a reality through its mission to create an inclusive society in Northeast India by improving access to healthcare and education through partnerships, advocacy, and integrated development efforts. Since launching its programmatic interventions in 2017, NEAID has collaborated with national and international entities, corporate donors, and the government to enhance the quality of education, provide safe drinking water, ensure good health, and respond to disasters in marginalized and rural communities in Northeast India.

Position Summary

The Fundraising Manager will play a key role in advancing our mission by supporting our fundraising efforts. With fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector, the successful candidate will be adept at writing compelling project proposals, conducting donor research, managing donor and funder relationships, and engaging with partner organizations and stakeholders. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in fundraising and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

● Proposal Writing: Develop and write persuasive project proposals and grant applications that clearly articulate the organization's mission, programs, and funding needs. Ensure proposals are tailored to meet the specific interests and guidelines of potential funders.

● Donor Research: Conduct research to identify potential donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. Analyze and maintain up-to-date records on donor prospects and trends.

● Donor and Funder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing donors and funders. Manage communication strategies to ensure consistent and personalized engagement, including updates on organizational impact and invitations to events.

● Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising strategies with organizational goals. Engage with external stakeholders to foster partnerships and support fundraising initiatives.

● Documentation: Track and report on fundraising progress, including donor engagement metrics and proposal outcomes. Provide regular updates and recommendations for improving fundraising strategies.

Additional Responsibilities

● Support the NEAID team with ad-hoc requests and day-to-day functions.

● Work closely with Founders.

Who are we looking for?

Essentials:

● Master’s degree in Business Management, Communications, MSW or a related field.

● Minimum 1 year of experience in fundraising or a related role within the nonprofit sector. (Non-negotiable)

● Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing grant proposals and fundraising materials.

● Strong research skills with the ability to identify and analyze potential funding sources.

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships.

● Proficiency in using donor management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

● Knowledge of current trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising.

Location: Guwahati, Assam

Salary: 45k plus Bonus
