Vidya Sagar is a 40-year-old organization, well known for its high-quality services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We are looking for an Executive Director
- who is familiar with the Non – Profit Development Sector and can handle the contemporary demands of compliances, governance and documentation.
- who is excited about developing teams.
- who is passionate about the work but need the necessary motivation to collaborate, learn, expand and grow.
- ready to learn about disability and take forward the plans and dreams of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive, execute and deliver the activities of VS on a day – to – day, monthly and annual basis.
- Manage all the working personnel, volunteers and the related people for the overall benefit of the Organization (VS).
ED will be responsible for driving the following specific tasks:
- annual plan execution
- all the on-going projects
- financially manage all projects and activities to ensure (no unsafe financial activities) budgetary prudence and compliance and expectations of donors.
- Oversee HR, IT, and other related services through competent people.
- Recruit as per plan new personnel.
- Comply (with support of others) with all norms for Vidya Sagar for statutory and other purposes.
- Ensure flow of proper information to all concerned.
- Analyze and apply corrections as needed based on monthly reports.
- Evolve a robust system of reporting and appraisals.
- Organize monthly, quarterly and annual meetings as needed for Committees, Board, General Body etc.
- Coordinate and oversee Audit as needed.
- Implement and maintain appropriate Organization structure,
- Carry out Annual budgetary and activity plan.
- Special Events Planning and Management.
- Ensure good quality services, meet stakeholders, attend technical planning meetings to ensure goals are set with consultation of the team and stakeholders. Team motivation, dynamics and capacity building should be a priority.
Working with the Founder
- Plan for new areas of improvement.
- Plan and execute new initiatives and new projects as guided by the Board
- Manage external agencies and their representatives as needed.
Goals:
- To Manage the Organization to the satisfaction of all Stakeholders: Persons with Disabilities, Families, Donors, Children, Employees etc.
- To constantly look into the future and plan for safe and sound practices to take Vidya Sagar ahead.
- To be financially in a safe spot and if there are gaps, to take appropriate action to ensure funds inflow and management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Post Graduate, in the related area, preferably formal management education.
- Overall, 15 years’ experience in the Voluntary sector.
- Ability to interact smoothly with various types of people including people with disability and senior officials.
- Age - 40 to 50 years.
- Multiple Language skills preferred.
