About the PROGRAMME
The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of the Government of Karnataka, in collaboration with PRADAN and BRAC International, is designing and implementing a three- year project aimed at lifting 50,000 extremely poor families out of poverty in 20 blocks across 10 districts in Karnataka. This initiative, known as the Karnataka Inclusive Livelihoods Programme (KILP), will employ comprehensive productive inclusion strategies to enhance the lives of marginalized populations, especially women. PRADAN will deploy qualified personnel at various levels to ensure the successful implementation of KILP.
Job Description
- Take responsibility for the functioning of the Programme in the District.
- Guide, mentor, and supervise the Taluk Coordinators and the Master Trainers in undertaking relevant strategies for extreme poverty removal from the District.
- Conduct regular reviews and provide value addition as needed.
- Coordinate laterally with the Training Coordinator in discharging her responsibilities and provide all operational support in identifying training needs, developing training modules for the ultra-poor, and carrying out the training.
- Support and provide ongoing training support to the Taluk Coordinators and the Master Trainers.
- Compile information and experiences on the Programme MIS and report to the District and State Project Management Units as per requirement.
- Generate adequate feedback about the functioning of the Programme through regular field visits and formal and informal meetings; ensure that Taluk Coordinators and the Master Trainers respond as needed.
- Work with the DPMU CEO (ZP) and various departments to ensure resource flow and schematic convergence for support to the extremely poor individuals, households, and communities.
- Ensure coordination with the DPMU and SPMU for ensuring timely flow of Programme resources and information by ensuring all compliances and reporting.
- Identify and document best practices.
- Communicate effectively with external stakeholders to spread awareness about the programme.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Qualification
- Post Graduate in any discipline; or a Professional Degree; or Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management/Social Sciences.
- At least seven years of experience in the social development sector, including at least two years in coordination/management roles.
- At least five years of working on the welfare of rural or urban poor or other disadvantaged communities.
- Proficient in Kannada and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Experience in working in and leading teams.
- Ability to communicate well in meetings and public forums
Location: One of the following district headquarters: Kalaburgi, Yadgir, and Bidar
Remuneration: Negotiable; based on qualification, experience and last drawn
Note - This is a three-year employment contract renewable as per programme funding need with a probationary period of six months
