Job Description
The Data Analyst will analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and insights related to program effectiveness. This role involves creating compelling visualizations and reports, implementing data collection strategies, and ensuring data integrity. Collaboration with program teams and external stakeholders is essential to support monitoring and evaluation frameworks. The analyst will also stay updated on industry trends to enhance data processes continuously.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to program effectiveness.
- Utilize statistical tools and software to conduct analyses and generate reports.
- Reporting & Visualization:
- Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing insights and recommendations.
- Data Collection & Management:
- Design and implement data collection strategies, including surveys, interviews, and existing data sources.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of data.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with program teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Collaborate with external partners, researchers, and stakeholders as needed.
- Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support ongoing assessments to measure program impact and inform strategic planning.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and impact measurement.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing data collection and analysis processes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the nonprofit or impact sector.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to diverse audiences.
- Team Player:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and engage with various stakeholders.
