About CKD

CKD's mission is to build the agency of women, adolescents, and children by providing equitable access to health, nutrition, education, and 21st-century skills, livelihood, and employability. IPE Global Limited (www.ipeglobal.com), an international development organization, incubated CKD to pursue its aim of leaving no women and children behind on a mission mode. Guided by diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, CKD catalyzes sustained investments and multi-stakeholder collaborations. CKD has partnered with government stakeholders at multiple levels: National, State, District, and Local, to design better public service delivery systems and implement sustainable solutions and knowledge management. It is a non-profit organization with the vision of creating a world imbued with the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI).

About the Project

In line with Unilever's vision of 'sustainable community development '- reflecting the aspirations of building resilient local communities at the grassroots level, and the aim to enhance value creation in the society and community in which it operates, IPE CKD will lead the implementation of Prabhat Nutrition project to radically improve health and nutrition status for pregnant and lactating women, young mothers, and their children up to 3 years.

Our approach will be to i) motivate pregnant and lactating women to eat locally available nutritious food (more protein and micronutrients) during and after pregnancy; ii) train frontline nutrition workers to deliver specific messages and motivate mothers to eat 'more' and 'better' food; iii) target messaging to mothers and other caregivers of children aged 0 – 5 years to ensure that they also consume nutritious diversified food, and iv) create awareness among adolescent girls on Anaemia control and menstrual hygiene.
