Scope of Work:

  • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will have to evaluate and review the HCLTech Grant applications (70- 100 NGOS) received from the NGOs and be present in the HCL Office during shortlisting of applicants for further stages.
  • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be present in HCL offices in SEZ NOIDA/through Online mode for a one-day orientation and field tool finalization workshop. This is the field/evaluation work kick off workshop.
  • During the month of August, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) will begin the field travel/evaluations to the assigned NGOs. These could be 7 to 10 NGOs anywhere in India. The field travels /E-verifications/Evaluations must be completed on or before October 2024.
  • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will present the findings of the field work/evaluations on, in month of September/October to the HCLTech Grant PMO. However, before leaving the project location of the assigned NGO, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide an interim report to the PMO and address any evident gaps before departure.
  • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) is expected to team up with one of the HCLFoundation or its HCLTech Grant’s Knowledge partner staff/associate and provide full cooperation.
  • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will carry out in-depth field based/evaluation/E-Verifications audits for the assigned applicant NGOs, in order to ensure that the application proposal submitted by the NGO is true in spirit and facts.
  • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) might be approached by HCLTech Grant’s PMO, Sub Jury and Jury members; in case they have a direct query, even after the closure of the contract.
  • In consultation with HCLTech Grant PMO, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) will present the field visit/evaluation plan, conduct the assessment based in pre-designed tool and present a high-quality field visit/evaluation report and a PowerPoint presentation in a prescribed format.
  • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will have to be present for the Sub jury meeting, followed by the Jury meeting day on call / Online (If required) which is in October/November 2024 and February/March 2025

Professional Experience

  • At least 15+ years of experience in Environment/Health/Education sector (in the category applied).
  • Excellent track record of working in the development sector especially in the area of Environment/Health/Education sector. developing partnerships with various stakeholders and on-ground monitoring and implementation of programs.
  • Good with the report writing, need assessment & impact assessment.
  • Experience of managing complex and time-sensitive processes.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate with competence in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel pan India locations where HCL Foundation is working.
