Value for Women is seeking a creative and skilled Creative Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, visual storytelling, and the ability to bring concepts to life across a variety of digital platforms.

You will be able to work remotely from home, in a full-time equivalent role (approx 19 days per month), managing your own time across time zones with a results-driven mindset.
The Creative Associate will play a key role in advancing Value for Women’s mission by managing a broad spectrum of visual and digital content creation tasks. This role involves designing and implementing digital content and multimedia visualisations tailored to the organisation’s needs and serving a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

How much does this role pay?
Value for Women exclusively hires self-employed individuals, and fees are based on a US$ daily rate. The fee range for this role is US$115-229. Fees are determined by various factors including technical skill level and expertise, years of expertise and longevity as a consultant.

In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of shaping Value for Women's growth and impact. We seek someone to do:
Visual Content Development:
- Lead on the design, format and edit of Google Slide decks, ensuring professional and engaging presentations in alignment with VfW brand guidelines.
- Develop creative design collateral including infographics, banners, brochures, posters, and social media content, as per the requirements of consulting projects, and corporate communications.
- Design and format both internal and client-facing publications and reports.
- Visualise and create graphics, including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos, using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Website Content Creation:
- Conceptualize and create landing pages, as needed, on the organisational website (hosted on the CraftCMS platform).
- Update and maintain website content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and organisational objectives.
Video Production and New Media:
- Edit and format videos for workshops, training, and other educational purposes.
- Produce creative media formats such as GIFs and podcasts to enhance digital outreach.
- Maintain and update Value for Women’s YouTube channel with engaging, high-quality content.
Strategic Planning and Collaboration:
- Provide inputs into developing a strategic plan for multimedia content on the company website and social media, aligning with organisational goals, and helping execute it.
- Collaborate with internal teams and if needed, with clients/partners, to develop and execute creative strategies for marketing campaigns, webinars, and other initiatives.
Internal VfW Magazine:
- Design creative content and multimedia visualisations for VfW's quarterly internal magazine and potentially internal blogs and email campaigns.
- Provide data analytics each quarter on readership and interaction statistics by internal audience.
Creative Collateral Management:
- Develop and maintain a catalogue of VfW’s creative collateral archives.
- Ensure externally produced multimedia assets are collected and archived.
- Create a bank of photography, templates, icons, and documents such as slide decks for use by VfW teams.
- Provide guidance on photo searches, manage the VfW database of organisational images, and maintain creative collateral archives.
Your role extends further into operational, and communication activities. Toward this, you would:
Team Communication:
- Establish and leverage seamless communication linkages across levels in the organisations including Advisory Services, Business Development, and Business Support Services, for best collaborations.
- Advise on the scope of work, realistic timescales, and the level of effort needed to deliver internal and external initiatives on time.
Team Support and Upskilling:
- Offer periodic training through our internal VfW Academy on design standards and train the VfW team on design and branding, ensuring alignment with VfW policy.
- Provide high-level documentation guidelines on design standards, and periodically update these.
What are the requirements for this role?
The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-driven individual, able to work efficiently and independently. We are looking for a highly organised and driven individual who is quick to adapt to changing realities and communicates effectively across the organisation.
The ideal candidate works efficiently against deliverable deadlines and is focused on high quality and timeliness. They are able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and consultancy environment, working independently as part of a remote international team.
They are an excellent written and spoken communicator in English, an innovative and creative designer and can work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Our team works best with people who interact positively, and who are results-based, entrepreneurial and client-centred.
Additionally, we require the following background and experience:
- 3 - 5 years of professional experience either in agency, in-house or working as a freelancer
- Proficiency in English is essential for this role, with Spanish proficiency highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles
- Strong skills in Google Suite (Google Slides, Docs, Sites) and Canva.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
- Experience with CraftCMS or similar content management systems.
- Strong proficiency with Google Suite and familiarity with campaign management platforms such as Mailchimp.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and managing digital content, including social media and YouTube.
- Excellent visual communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional written English communication skills with the ability to produce compelling written materials.
- Ability to work remotely and independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with on-time delivery
- Higher level education in fine art, graphic design or related field

Step 4: Final Interview! This is the final shortlist.
