ActionAid Association (AAA) is a national organization working in India since 2006 with work across 25 States and two Union Territories.
ActionAid Association is hiring for the following roles for short-term assignments on consultancy basis (six months) as detailed below.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the project teams from time to time to ensure effective implementation of the project assigned to you.
- Provide guidance to project teams to ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency of project delivery on the ground.
- Help establish linkages and partnerships with other civil society organisations, academic institutions, business entities, community alliances to further project goals as may be needed for the purpose of the project.
- Facilitate periodic appraisals, reviews and planning and budgeting for the project initiatives as may be needed from time to time.
- Support delivery of campaign initiatives (around government entitlements) as may be planned for the purpose of delivering project goals across countries.
- Help build and nurture leadership among communities and local organisations to support sustainability of the project.
- Coordinate with other units of the organisation across countries to enable smooth delivery of project goals and activities.
- Ensure compliance to all reporting requirements (programmatic and financial) of the projects assigned to you. Also attend to audit observations and ensure compliance as may be needed.
- Help in communication and outreach through media linkages both print and electronic and help share about project work.
- Support fund raising initiatives to enable sustainability of the project.
- Be responsible for any other emergent task that may be assigned by the organization.
Travel: As per role requirements.
Skills and Competencies
- Postgraduate in Social Sciences/Social Work/Rural Development/ Management.
- At least 10 years experience of managing development projects.
- Familiarity with the developmental issues of the respective state of India is necessary.
- Strong communication skills
- Gender sensitive and strong conviction to work with poor and disadvantaged groups.
- Should have good documentation skills and be proficient in basic computer applications like Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel.
Salary & Benefits
Consultancy fee Rs. 70,000 per month (including TDS)
