About Integrated Leadership Forum Against Trafficking (ILFAT)
ILFAT is India’s first forum against human trafficking which is by the survivors, of the survivors and for the survivors of all forms of human trafficking, formed in 2019. The forum was started by the survivors of trafficking with an aim to end all forms of human trafficking in the country.
Currently, 12 survivor collectives across 07 states (West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan) with a membership of more than 4,000 survivors constitute ILFAT and represent survivors of child trafficking, forced labour, and sex trafficking. Chase India acts as the secretariat to this forum.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a driven and highly motivated individual to support ILFAT's growth by focusing on organizational development, enhancing member engagement, and managing compliance-related documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with the rest of the Secretariat team and
partners in the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) to advance the priorities of ILFAT. This role emphasizes fostering collaboration, motivation, and cohesion within the forum while contributing to other key responsibilities of the Secretariat.
In this role, you will be the daily point of contact for the ILFAT Leadership Council, Managing Committee, and Board Members. You will be expected to take ownership, operate independently (with senior team members to lean on for support), and mentor and support junior team members, as required.
What your responsibilities will be
Secretariat Management
• Facilitate effective communication and proactive engagement between ILFAT role-holders, bringing out the best ideas and contributions from members and ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and valued.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among ILFAT members to strengthen relationships and enhance collective action.
• Develop and implement initiatives and processes that foster motivation, engagement, efficiency and a shared sense of purpose among ILFAT members.
• Monitor any evolving group dynamics, including regional disparities, power imbalances, and interpersonal conflicts, and report observations to the SAG for further action.
• Work closely with the rest of the secretariat team to ensure that ILFAT's activities align with its broader vision and goals and support in measuring outputs and outcomes of the initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for coordinating with ILFAT members and the Chartered Accountant (CA) team on compliance-related documentation and processes.
• Ensure all compliance requirements are met, and necessary documentation is accurately maintained and submitted.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Serve as the liaison between ILFAT role-holders, the Leadership Council, and the broader stakeholder ecosystem to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Facilitate consensus-building processes and decision-making within ILFAT, ensuring alignment with the forum’s vision and goals.

Required Skills and Experience
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, preferably in the development sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
• Strategic problem-solving abilities, adept at identifying obstacles and developing practical solutions
• Strong prioritization, multitasking, and time management skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality
