Brief on the Organization
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders.
Project Brief
Mission Utkarsh is launched by Honorable Prime Minister recently to improve the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in 10 selected districts. Central Council of Ayurveda Sciences in collaboration with Ministry of Women and Child Development is rolling out a new initiative to improve anemia levels among
adolescent girls registered in AWCs in five tribal districts. IIPH-Delhi is collaborating with Central Council of Ayurveda Sciences to support in conducting baseline and endline assessment of the project.
Deliverables
The consultant will provide support in management of research data collected from different research site and provide inputs to ensure data quality.
The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to.
- Development of database using RedCap/ Kobo/CsPro softwares
- Development and data collection tolls in CAPI devices and making them ready for the field teams
- Cleaning, sorting and management of data collected in the five tribal districts across five states
- Conducting analyses of the data for the outcomes and exposures
- Monitoring data collection activities in field and ensuring data quality at different study sites
- Prepare the reports based on the data analyses and results; drafting manuscripts for the project
- Reviewing and validating data for some countries within the South-East Asia region for the assessment
- Maintaining the database and analysing country-wise data as per project requirement
- Perform any other task as assigned by the project team and PI
Qualification
Essential:
- Masters in Public Health/ MSc in Clinical Research
Desirable:
- Medical or AYUSH Graduate/Masters in Nutrition
Experience
Essential:
- At least 3 years’ experience
Desirable:
- Experience of handing primary data collection from the field and working with RedCap software
- Ability to work in cross cultural teams
- Ability to plan, conceptualize and organize
- Ability to effectively lead and mentor the team
- Ability to manage the team’s performance
- Ability to prepare reports, presentations etc.
