About StoryBeings:
StoryBeings is a growing digital archive featuring over 70 stories in five languages, bringing forth stories by young girls, women, and people of marginalized genders and identities. Our mission is to shape conversations on gender and sexuality by sharing lived experiences. Through their voices and creativity, our contributors politicize the personal, sharing their truths about who they are and what they feel about the world.
We're seeking a passionate communications and web design enthusiast who can help us enhance the Storybeings website to highlight the project's growth, power, and possibilities!
Key Responsibilities:
Website Updates:
● Update StoryBeings website to showcase POV's latest work to maximise engagement.
● Implement design enhancements to improve website aesthetics and functionality.
Landing Page Rework:
● Redesign the landing page to effectively communicate the impact of StoryBeings.
● Highlight key metrics, success stories, and testimonials to engage visitors and demonstrate our achievements.
Copywriting:
● Develop compelling and concise copy for various sections of the website, ensuring it aligns with our brand voice and objectives.
● Create engaging content that resonates with our diverse audience.
Coordination with Communications Team:
● Collaborate with the communications team to align website content with social media campaigns and other promotional activities.
● Ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms.
Desired Qualifications:
● Proven experience in website design and development, preferably with a focus on content-driven platforms.
● Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging and impactful content.
● Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
● Excellent communication and coordination skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Passion for storytelling and digital media.
● Deep knowledge and interest in feminist issues.
