About the job role
Carnegie India is looking to hire a Conference and Events Manager. This is a full-time role at Carnegie India's office in New Delhi. The selected candidate will take a lead role in organising Carnegie India's flagship annual Global Technology Summit (GTS), GTS Innovation Dialogue, and other dialogues/events.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Conference and Events Manager will work closely with the program, communications, and development teams at Carnegie India to organise the event. They will be responsible for all aspects of conference planning and execution including: event management and logistics, coordinating with external vendors and speakers, overseeing invitations and promotion of the summit, and engaging all relevant stakeholders.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must have minimum experience of 3-7 years in managing large scale conferences and events, preferably related to policy, academia, or technology. Experience in coordinating with high-level speakers and stakeholders is required. Familiarity with technology-policy issues and interest in global technology and geopolitical trends will be an added advantage for candidates. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written command of English and a bachelor's degree in event management, communications, public relations, management or any related field. The selected candidate will also need to have strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, the capacity to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
