Communications and Networking Officer Position Overview:

We are hiring a Communications and Networking Officer to lead our communications and build strategic networks. This position requires someone with a strong background in communications and a deep commitment to gender equality. The ideal candidate will craft impactful narratives, build alliances, and ensure Sakshi is actively involved in every conversation around gender equality.

This role focuses on communications, networking, and advocacy to elevate Sakshi’s presence at national and international platforms, positioning us as a leader in gender equality efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Communications: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to amplify Sakshi’s work on gender equality across multiple channels, including media, social platforms, and public engagements.
• Gender Equality Advocacy: Create content that effectively communicates Sakshi’s mission to advance gender equality and prevent GBV. Ensure all messaging aligns with Sakshi’s values of inclusivity and justice.
• Networking & Partnerships: Build and sustain partnerships with NGOs, corporate entities, government agencies, and international organizations. Ensure Sakshi’s active participation in relevant discussions, conferences, and forums focused on gender equality.
• Public Engagement: Identify key opportunities for Sakshi to engage in public discourse around gender equality. Lead campaigns and public outreach efforts that raise awareness and drive meaningful action.
• Campaign Development: Design and implement gender equality campaigns that resonate with a wide range of audiences. Lead media initiatives that highlight Sakshi’s work and broader gender equality goals.
• Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders including donors, partners, and media outlets. Prepare compelling reports and presentations that effectively communicate Sakshi’s impact.
• Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to align communications with programmatic goals and support internal communication needs.

Candidates Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in communications or networking, preferably in a gender equality, human rights, or social justice organization.
• Proven ability to build networks and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in developing and managing communication strategies across digital, print, and social media platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills to represent Sakshi at public forums.
• Experience in organizing public events, webinars, or campaigns is a bonus.

Salary: 40k per month.
