In part, because Karya is on a mission to provide AI enabled earning and learning opportunities to economically underserved communities, thereby building a pathway out of poverty for them. Karya achieves this while also delivering high quality, timely, and price competitive data to its clients.
Karya’s workers make at least 20 times the Indian minimum wage and through our one-of-a-kind digital work platform, we have delivered over 40 million digital tasks and are poised to positively impact over 100 thousand workers by the end of the year. In the coming years, our goal is to rapidly scale our impact by bringing economic opportunities to millions of underserved users in India.
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing and overseeing daily accounting activities and ensuring inflows and payments against our financial ledgers. Selected candidates will work closely with our top management to maintain Karya’s financial integrity and provide strategic financial insights to support our growth.
About the Role
As the Chief of Staff in the Founder's Office, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Founders across a broad spectrum of activities. This includes the design and launch of new initiatives, strategic planning, enhancing team processes and efficiency, managing key stakeholder relationships and supporting recruitment for vital positions. Your role will essentially act as an extension of the Co-Founders, helping them tackle the challenges they face directly. As a critical member of the Founder’s Office, you will have the opportunity to get involved in everything from strategy to operations. We are looking for a motivated individual, eager to learn and contribute to Karya’s growth and impact goals .
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining strategic roadmaps, compiling learnings and insights for both internal and external use
- Identifying key limiting factors, and conducting in-depth analyses on various critical priorities, leading to the introduction of innovative processes.
- Serving as a vital thought partner for the Co-Founders, assisting in discussions, creating supporting materials, and brainstorming sessions.
- Support the co-founders in daily tasks including but not limited to: creating materials for partnerships and engagement, social media and marketing,
- Being a critical liaison between team members, leaders and the co-founders, this includes supporting town-halls, culture-related activities, performance reviews, etc.
- Supporting the co-founders in championing Karya policies, frameworks and processes with Karya’s leaders and staff.
- Specifically, the Chief of Staff will be responsible for managing organizational OKRs and leading OKR reviews with the Karya Leadership.
Factors for Success
- A self-motivated individual who takes full ownership of tasks, and doesn’t require hand-holding. This role will come with a lot of responsibility and autonomy and we’re keen on self-starters who are eager to learn and contribute.
- Capable of clearly documenting strategies, communicating key lessons to team-members and inspiring action.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in top-tier management consulting, analytics/finance, or strategic/project management roles, preferably in the social impact sector.
- Demonstrated analytical and logical skills, with a keen problem-solving approach.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in GSuite.
