About the Role:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and overall financial health of the foundation. As a key member of the leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the CEO to ensure the organization's financial stability, compliance, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will combine strategic insight with operational expertise to support the foundation's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy aligned with its long-term goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board for decision-making.
Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Ensure effective management of funds and resources to optimize organizational impact.
- Maintain a robust financial control environment and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure the foundation adheres to financial, legal, and ethical standards.
- Liaise with auditors, government agencies, and other regulatory bodies.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Act as a financial advisor to the CEO, Board, and key business stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, and vendors.
Technology and Process Optimization:
- Drive the implementation and efficient use of financial systems like SAP and Tally.
- Enhance processes to improve financial reporting, cost management, and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Educational Background and Work Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15 to 20 years of work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a foundation, preferably a corporate foundation.
- Proven ability in financial analysis, problem-solving, and logical thinking.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to effectively interact with key business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and Tally systems.
