SNEHA, a Mumbai-based non-profit, focuses on improving women's health in urban slums. With 11 programs, including Maternal and Child Health (MCH), SNEHA aims to enhance health outcomes through direct community interventions and partnerships.
About the Program:
The MCH – Building Bridges program targets 10,000 households in Bhiwandi, focusing on improving health for women and children. It involves direct household interventions, community awareness, and collaboration with public health systems.
Role Overview:
The Associate Program Director will lead operational and strategic aspects of the MCH program, including implementation, evaluation, and stakeholder management. Strong knowledge of Maternal and Child Health is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead program implementation and development.
- Manage program strategy, planning, and evaluation.
- Facilitate partnerships with stakeholders and manage donor relations.
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, and capacity building.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in MCH program leadership, preferably in urban vulnerable settings.
- Strong MCH knowledge and experience in nutrition, sexual reproductive health, and violence.
Desirable Skills:
- Strategic and implementation skills.
- Ability to manage large teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with IT solutions and sustainability measures in health interventions.
