Responsibilities
Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
- Designing and developing course curricula that align with the NEP framework, UGC guidelines, and the objectives of the department and university.
- Employing innovative pedagogical methods to engage students actively in the learning process.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, encouraging their academic and professional growth.
Research and Scholarly Activities:
- Engaging in rigorous scholarly research and publication in relevant academic areas, demonstrating a commitment to contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
- Pursuing collaborative research projects, both within the department and with other faculty members and institutions, to promote interdisciplinary research and innovation.
- Apply for research grants and funding to support research activities.
Academic Evaluation and Assessment:
- Assisting in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation processes in line with UGC guidelines and NEP objectives
- Design and administer assessments, examinations, and assignments to evaluate students' learning outcomes.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance.
Institution Development Activities:
- Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to academic governance and decision-making processes.
- Engage in community service and outreach activities to promote the university's social impact.
- Promoting the integration of community service and experiential learning opportunities into the academic curriculum.
Professional Development:
- Pursuing continuous professional development by attending conferences, workshops, and seminars in the relevant field of expertise.
- Staying updated with advancements in teaching methodologies, research trends, and the evolving NEP framework and UGC guidelines.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to network and share knowledge with peers.
Mentorship and Advising:
- Act as an academic advisor to students, providing guidance on course selection, career paths, and personal development.
- Supervise and mentor research scholars and students on academic projects.
Collaboration and Networking:
- Collaborate with colleagues within and outside the university to foster interdisciplinary research and academic initiatives.
- Engage in partnerships with industry, government, and other academic institutions for research and collaboration opportunities.
Qualifications Required:
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as SET, or who have been awarded a Ph. D degree by the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time, as the case may be, for exemption from NET/SET.
