Job Overview:
As the Assistant Manager - Waste Management, you will play a crucial role in implementing sustainable waste management practices within the educational institute. This position emphasizes corporate social responsibility (CSR) and aims to promote climate consciousness and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of waste management strategies aligned with sustainability goals
- Oversee waste collection, segregation, and disposal processes on-site
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Manage and lead a team of waste management staff, providing guidance and support in daily operations
- Conduct training and awareness programs for staff and students on waste management practices
- Monitor and report on waste management metrics and initiatives, identifying areas for improvement
- Facilitate communication between the organization and the educational institute regarding waste management activities
- Act as a point of contact for any waste management-related inquiries from clients and staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum graduation in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in waste management, environmental sustainability, or a similar role
- Strong passion for climate change, sustainability, and environmental protection
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders
- Must have a personal vehicle for on-site work and transportation
