The opportunity:

The objective of the Manager - Communication & Partnerships is to support the organization's communication efforts by developing and implementing effective strategies, creating compelling content, managing media relations, engaging stakeholders, and promoting the Trust's mission and programs. This role aims to enhance the organization's visibility, reputation, and impact by ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across various communication channels, both online and offline. Additionally, it seeks to secure support for the Trust's initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on the organization's goals & objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

The scope of the accountabilities of the role includes (but is not limited to), 

  1. Communication Strategy and Planning:
    1. Execute comprehensive communication strategies
    2. Collaborate with the management team to align communication efforts
    3. Conduct research & analysis to identify target audiences and tailor communication
  2. Content Creation and Management:
    1. Create compelling and impactful content for various communication channels, 
    2. Coordinate with program staff to gather information and stories
    3. Ensure that all communication materials have consistent messaging & branding
  3. Media and Public Relations:
    1. Develop & maintain relationships with media representatives for media coverage.
    2. Anchor writing and distribution of communication materials for media coverage.
    3. Organize events, webinars, and workshops to promote the Trust and its programs
    4. Act as a Trust spokesperson when required and handle media inquiries effectively.
  4. Digital Communication:
    1. Manage the Trust's digital presence
    2. Monitor conversations and respond to inquiries, and feedback in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in mass media, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  2. Experience: 2 to 4 years of full-time work
  3. Qualities Required: 
    1. Proficient with the MS Office.
    2. Excellent communication skills.
    3. Quick learner
    4. Self-motivated.
    5. Undying passion for the Development Sector
  4. Qualities Desired :
    1. Experience in liaising with government agencies
    2. Ability to coordinate with a variety of partner profiles
  5. Personal Attributes :
    1. Ability to execute work independently
    2. Social Intelligence
  6. Language :
    1. Proficiency in reading, and writing in English, Hindi & Marathi.
    2. Excellent command over spoken Marathi is necessary.
