Overview of the Role


The State Consultant will provide technical support to Health dept for effective implementation of MTC, Anemia Mukt Bharat programme and School Health programme as per recent guidelines of GoI. This consultancy also aims to strengthen interdepartmental convergence with ICDS and Education dept, improve coverage & quality implementation above mentioned programme.

Job Description


1. Provide technical support for state and district-level AMB training, including rollout of AMB e-module.
2. Strengthen implementation of AMB “Test, Treat, Talk, Track” (T4) and facilitate rollout of AMB T4 application in the state.
3. Support strengthening of AMB supply chain (IFA, iron sucrose, albendazole, IEC materials) through capacity building, use of e-Aushadhi portal, supportive supervision, and reporting.
4. Strengthen capacity of health systems in improving IFA supplementation coverage and facility reporting
5. Strengthen capacities of school systems for promotion of healthy diets among school-going adolescents including Eat Right School Initiative & Healthy Diet promotion
6. Strengthen capacity of health system to streamline treatment of anemic cases as per the AMB programme
7. Strengthen capacity of system to improve quality of service delivery and care standards in MTCs.
8. Strengthening monitoring and review system in MTC including score card-based review and rollout of supportive supervison module


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Communication skill: Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English; ability to speak read and write fluently in both languages is a must.
• Computer skills – well versed with excel and PowerPoint.
• Programme management skill: Ability to work in multi-cultural environment with proven track record advocacy & management skill for implementing programmes
• Analytical and report writing skill: Proven analytical and report writing skills with ability to draw lessons learned and apply them to take corrective step

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant work experience especially in the areas of Anemia Mukt Bharat programme, maternal nutrition, IYCF and severe acute malnutrition would be required. • Knowledge of Hindi and English language, written and spoken is mandatory. • Candidate with prior experience of working with government (NHM, ICDS and Others), UN agencies. • Experience of developing strategies and rolling them out using government mechanism required. • Knowledge/Familiarity with the national flagship programs and experience of working with Government. • Should have the ability to travel extensively to field.
